Live. Learn. Adapt.
What does it mean?
It means a few things.
It means: stop trying to be perfect. Being afraid to fail is no way to live. There is no shame in failing. There is shame in playing it safe or not trying. It’s what you do after you fail that shows your character. Trying is living. Right now, you are nothing more than some combination of your genes and your experiences. That’s it. Your genes likely aren’t going to change. But your experiences will. If you try.
It means: evolve or die. When people talk about “survival of the fittest,” they’re not talking about the physically strongest or the most intelligent as the fittest. They’re talking about those who are the quickest to adapt. Those who are able to adapt to their new reality are the ones who are the fittest.
It means: life is continuous. You’re under no obligation to be the same person you were five minutes ago let alone five days/weeks/months/years ago. People fear change because they fear what they don’t understand, they fear the unknown. Change can happen for many reasons. But growth cannot happen without change.
Live. A choice of action or a reaction.
Learn. Self-awareness or self-reflection.
Adapt. Consciousness. Practice mindfulness, stay present, and intentionally make adjustments.
Repeat the cycle.
Only this time…do it better.
The more you do it, the more your automatic responses (reactions) will adjust. Life will get better. Life will be easier. Life will make sense.
